History
• On March 24, 1989, the Exxon Valdez oil spill was the center of world wide attention for several years even after the initial accident. As a result of this accident, an historical trial was set to try the parties involved. In 1994 ILS founder William Hooper, an accomplished programmer, was brought on as a consultant and to develop a sophisticated trial presentation solution for the trial. His accomplishments on that trial lead him to become the technical lead on many additional trials involving other major oil and gas companies on joint defenses against the state of Alaska.

• Soon after, the ILS founder was asked by Exxon, whom after an exhausting research to find an EDD management tool, to form a company to develop additional software’s to process and host electronic data used for some of their litigation matters. This request led to the development of an unprecedented document review tool that has developed into the primary review tool of one of the nation’s top 4 auditing firms. The EDGE software review technology has been used by many large fortune 500 corporations and law firms throughout the United States . It has been rated as the most efficient document review tool in the industry by many litigation review teams.

• With a business partner, Bill formed Landmark technologies in 1993 and worked on key cases like those of Enron and the Exxon/Mobil merger where scale was paramount to their success. In 2004, Bill sold out to his partner in Landmark to pursue the fledgling EDD industry. With an ear to the common complaints of many of the firms in Houston, Bill set out to create a system that was fast, innovative and cost efficient.

• Armed with an elite team of developers, executives, nerds and a host of large cases under our built, ILS Technologies has been founded as a premier Innovative Litigation Services company, providing electronic document management solutions for the legal community. During our first year in business in 2004, ILS processed and produced more than 15 million documents of electronic data for some of the top and most prestigious law firms and corporations in the United States . In our second year, ILS processed over 15 million documents a month, for the same purposes and with the same staff.

• Five years later with annualized revenue over 2.5million ILS Technologies has emerged as the Speed and Accuracy leader of the industry.
